Muddiest Point

Since our first class was basically just an introduction, my muddiest point question pertains to the weekly reading notes assignment. I was wondering if our reading notes should cover all of the articles assigned or perhaps only the one (or few) that we felt strongest about? Also are our reading notes supposed to be formal or informal (for example, in the notes that i turned in for last week i stated my opinion on an issue)?  Thanks!
